Dr. Silva Hamade, O.D.

Dr. Silva Hamade is a Dearborn Heights native who is proud to provide advanced, patient-centered eye care to her hometown community. After graduating from Fordson High School, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from George Mason University and her Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University in 2019.

She spent several years practicing in a medical-surgical setting in Louisiana, where she gained hands-on experience managing complex eye conditions and working alongside surgeons. During that time, she also created a low vision program, traveling to underserved areas to provide specialized care to patients in need.

Dr. Hamade is especially passionate about retinal disease and low vision care, with a strong focus on preserving vision through early detection and proactive treatment. She believes eye care should go beyond simply prescribing glasses and is committed to helping patients protect their vision for life.

As a bilingual provider offering care in English and Arabic, Dr. Hamade values building strong connections with her patients. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their two children, and her extended family.
